A good place to stop for some food and to hire you skis. May also be a good idea to get snow chains... they came in handy for us!

Great little town to stop off at on the way to the Snowy Mountains. On a cold winters day there is a cafe on the main stretch that makes the best hot chocolates in the world, and has plenty of heaters to defrost you. There\'s a museum from the hydro dam days which is worth a visit to get an idea of the vastness of our environment and the amazing ability that man has to harness it.

A nice little town to stop at on your way to the Snowfields. It was a very cold place in Winter which is expected being so close to the main snow areas.

On the way to the Snowy Mountains. A residential country town with opportunities to hire your ski gear cheaply.

Cooma seems to be the town everyone zips through to get to the Ski Fields. It\'s worth stopping at for the Snowy Hydro museum.
